Well Care

Tests:
Fecal Tests: Tests the fecal sample for internal parasites, including Hookworms, whipworms, roundworms, giardia, and coccidian.  Tapeworms do not float well for fecal test, so even if the pet is positive for tapeworms it may show up as negative on the Fecal results.

Urinalysis: Tests the urine sample for concentration, bacteria (for a UTI), protein (for UTI, Renal failure, cancer), sugar (for diabetes), crystals, etc.

Annual Blood Profile:
CBC: Complete Blood Count tests for increased white blood cell (for infection), and anemia.
Chemistry: Tests for liver and kidney functions, diabetes, dehydration, immune response, etc.
Electrolytes: Tests blood for kidney disease, etc.
T4: Tests for hyper and hypothyroidism

Heartworm Test (for dogs): Tests blood for heartworm in the heart or lungs
Leukemia/FIV Test (for cats): Tests blood for feline leukemia and FIV

Flea and Heartworm Preventatives:
           
Feline:
Revolution (monthly topical): Heartworms, Adult Fleas, Flea Eggs, Ear mites, Hookworms, Roundworms
Vectra (monthly topical): Adult Fleas, Flea Eggs, Flea Larvae, Flea Pupae
Program (semi-yearly injectable): Flea Larvae and Eggs
Capstar (as needed, 24 hour oral tablet): Adult Fleas.  Capstar can be used with any other product.

           
Canine:
Trifexis (monthly oral tablets):
Heartworms, Adult Fleas, Hookworms, Roundworms and Whipworms.
Revolution (monthly topical): Heartworms, Adult Fleas, Flea Eggs, Ticks
Vectra 3D (monthly topical): Adult Fleas, Flea Eggs, Flea Larvae, Flea Pupae, Ticks, Mosquitoes
Capstar (as needed 24 hour oral tablet): Adult Fleas.  Capstar can be used with any other product.

Deworming:
           
Feline:
Feline Drontal (semi-yearly): Hookworms, Roundworms, Whipworms and Tapeworms
            Canine:
Canine Drontal (semi-yearly)(small and medium): Hookworms, Roundworms, Whipworms, and Tapeworms
Canine Virbantel (semi-yearly)(small and medium): Hookworms, Roundworms and Tapeworms
Canine Droncit (semi-yearly for dogs on Sentinel): Tapeworms
